An Oldie

I wrote this a very long time ago, and rediscovered it last night when flipping through my Matric yearbook.
Enjoy.

As the tide of your soul washes slowly away
And your memories grow fainter and few
Let the lightness of laughter and the sweetness of smiles
Gently carry you through
Let the power of passion and the dreams of your heart
Be your strength and the fuel for your life
And let the serenity and sweetness and beauty of love
Watch over you, like the stars, from somewhere above.
