Food, Wine, Design- Divine
I spotted it on a few blogs last week, and thought it looked quite interesting.
Luckily, the rest of my office also thought it looked cool so we made it into an Office Field Trip.
Here are some of the things I liked, tried, bought, snapped, tasted. :)
Click on the pics for more info on each product.

Wear Black
Yip, today, that fool is me. And I didn't even think to wear navy blue, or gray. No no no, I wore white.
So to make up for it, and to try co-ordinate with the black bow on my shoes, I am going to carry my laptop bag around ALL DAY, possible attaching it to my chest so I can use these arms for doodling, tea drinking and other Extremely Important Things.
Wear black today people! Even if it is just a little.
P.s. We're protesting to protect Media Freedom... In case you were confused.

Goldfish
The opening band, The Kiffness, left us feeling a little, well, not-Kiff, but Goldfish were great!
And they were even better once the skies cracked open and forced people to lose their inhibitions, as one does when the mascara has already dripped down your face and your tshirt has become one with your skin.
They really are a 'no matter the weather' band. Or at least their Durban fans are!
Movember
Did you make your donation to the Movember charity?
Or has the itchiness taken over and forced your to fold?

#32 - #34
Rule for Life #32: washing and soaking stockings after they have been covered in red wine by a mole who couldn't handle her liquor on a Saturday night is futile.
Rule for Life #33: never put stockings on in the dark first thing in the morning, particularly if you have a big day of meetings with senior managers.
Rule for Life #34: Rule for Life #32 and #33 should be considered in parallel.
Well, there you go, now you know!

Back Down
It's a little icky if you're sensitive, but if you need a bump back down to earth... here you go.
And the worst part? Apart from doing your Little Bit, and telling some friends, there isn't much you can do unless you have global persuasion powers or enough courage to quit your job and go work for nothing but albatross love.
Midway is a film by Chris Jordan
"that will lead viewers on a rich visual journey through the many layers of Midway Island’s stunning paradox. There, in the poetic beauty of the mythical Albatross, is a shocking human-caused environmental tragedy that we are challenged to witness head on. Filmed in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, MIDWAY will walk the viewer into beauty, grief, horror, and joy, intertwined and dancing, as a potent metaphor for our times. The film is currently in production, and the planned release date is fall of 2012."

Chills
Like CopyRanter said on his blog:
"I think that may be the best way to go with an organ donor commercial. I know some of you will disagree, which is fine. I was on the fence between praise and derision myself."
What do you think?

Clever Illustrations
The illustrations are by Dan Meth who I have never heard of, but now think is great... but you go ahead and judge for yourself!

Baddies
REWARD
Last week I was broken into in !:/;': Estate (where I live).
One of those mysterious types where there was no security breach, the baddies came in through the sliding door on the second floor and left through the front door, locking up behind them. Naturally no one saw anything.
Now, usually I am not scared. Heck, I've been home alone all week. So I just got a lock for the garden gate, and that was it.
But the later it's gotten, the more skittish I've become.
Why is that dog barking? Why is it barking so loud? Why is it still barking? I've never heard it bark before.
What is that drilling noise? Is someone taking the door off the hinges? Do they think I'm at the agm? Oh... It's just the fridge.
Gah!
What's a girl to do on a night like this other than close ALL the windows tight and have some wine to know the lights out?
Let's hope for sweet, peaceful dreams.
For that yapping, freaking-me-out-now dog.
